After the Brexit vote I drove out of KFC and saw a young man looking at me, and it was a look I had not seen since the late 70’s/ early 80’s – it was a stare with an aggressive undertone. However later I found people smiling at me – a way of them saying that they were not racist.
We should remember that the UK has gone through a period where being racist was acceptable – let’s not do that dance again
